An Inclusive Liturgy for LGBT History Month

February is LGBT History Month. To mark this, Dignity and Worth’s chair, Sam McBratney, has written an Inclusive Liturgy featuring the story of St Brigid and her close companion and soul friend Darlughdach.

Sam writes: “The companionship and passion between Brigid and Darlughdach resonate powerfully with the love and companionship shared between LGBTQ+ couples and non-traditional relationships today. Each partnership, like theirs, is a symbol of God’s eternal hospitality, extending the warmth and light of the perpetual fire of self-giving love.”

This liturgy is free to download so please use it in your particular context and share it with others.

Let us know where you have used it – we’d love to know.
